The scientific method is a process of experimenting in which scientists use to answer questions. Making observations and conducting experiements is only part of the scientific method. The scientific method consists of six steps to answering questions about the world around us.
The six steps consist of :
Identify the Problem
Form the hypothesis
Create an experiment
Preform an experiment
Analyze the Data
Communicate the results
Each step is part of the process to the scientific method. Identifying the problem is using observations that you have made to write up a question. From there you form a hypothesis. A hypothesis is your prediction of the results of the outcome of you experiment. To creating your experiment you make a procedure on how you will test out your hypothesis so that you can answer your question. Once you create your experiment you preform it by following the steps in your procedure and record it onto a data chart. Once done recording you analize the data and observations and see if it supports your hypothesis. Once you have finished analizing you recod your discovery and write a summary of your conclusion of your experiment and your results. - Back to Main Page
